Sithonia Guide
The peninsula of Sithonia is characterized by green shores with turquoise waters on beaches with golden sand.
Beaches
The beaches that are worth visiting, apart from that of Kalamitsi, are Tigania, Kriaritsi, the small coves on the beach of Sykia (Klimataria, Pigadaki, Linaraki), where it has very nice taverns with fresh seafood. Also the coast of Aretes is a cove after Toroni, Trani Ammouda, Tristinika, Platanitsi beach, Kavourotripes, Armenistis, Vourvourou (where you can rent boats and go to the islands of Diaporos with clear blue waters) Koviou and the coast of Kalogria.
Food / Restaurants
In Kalamitsi there are 3 traditional taverns for seafood and meat, where you can enjoy your food overlooking the sea.
Amazing fish taverns – and not only – are also in Porto Koufo, a very beautiful and picturesque port, worth visiting. It is only 10 minutes drive from Kalamitsi.
We love the fresh fish in Porto Marina in Porto Koufo, we eat the best crepe of Halkidiki at Murphy’s in Sarti, we enjoy special seafood and meat dishes at Blue Senses in Sarti. If, finally, you have not tried pasta with vodka or you have never seen a giant pizza, then it is an opportunity for a walk in the Obelix in Vourvourou!

Activities
During your stay in Kalamitsi the activities in which you can participate are many and varied.
Wine tourism
The famous organic vineyards & winery of Porto Carras offer various activity packages, so you can have a wonderful experience while browsing there. If you visit Halkidiki during the harvest season, you can register to see the harvesting process.
Fishing
If you are a fan of fishing we can arrange to go fishing with a traditional boat (fishing with a rod), near the beach of the area. Then you can enjoy your fish at the barbeque, in our yard!
Day Sea Excursions & Cruises
Enjoy day cruises around the Diaporo of Halkidiki (the central island of a group of islands) and Mount Athos. These excursions are a unique opportunity to explore Sithonia by swimming on stunning beaches. You can also choose one-day cruises to Greek islands located near Halkidiki, such as Skiathos and Skopelos or to the emblematic Mount Athos.
Diving
Southern and Southeastern Sithonia has a rich fauna and flora at its bottom, which in combination with the reefs, caves, gorges, shipwrecks and more, are the ideal choice for diving. Diving is done by boat twice a day and is designed for divers of all levels of education and specialties.
Pedal boats and canoes
Enjoy the sea by swimming at the beach “Kalamitsi”, located just 200m from the Nine Muses. If you want to add more activity or entertainment during your stay there, you can rent water bikes or canoes with your friends or family from the beach rental center.
Hiking - Horse riding
Sithonia, the second leg of Halkidiki, is so beautiful that it is really worth touring off-road, on its paths and discovering every bit of it. In Sithonia, six walking routes have been marked and marked with “Triaina”, numbered 7-12.
